Dallo scorso 15 Novembre il RUVIANO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ha aperto le iscrizioni alla sua seconda edizione che è disciplinata secondo il seguente REGOLAMENTO:

La BOZ PRODUZIONI ARTISTICHE APS, di seguito BOZ con il patrocinio del Comune di Ruviano, della Provincia di Caserta, dell’Università della Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, dell’Università degli Studi di Napoli “Federico II” – Dipartimento studi Umanistici - Master di II livello di Drammaturgia e Cinematografia, dell'Università degli studi di Napoli "Parthenope", dell'Unione Industriali di Caserta, della Camera di Commercio di Caserta, del Lions Club "Isanniti" e del distretto Lions 108Y, del CSV AssoVoCE.
Al RUVIANO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, di seguito R.I.F.F., disciplinato ai sensi del presente regolamento ci si può iscrivere attraverso la piattaforma FilmFreeway raggiungibile al seguente link: https://filmfreeway.com/RUVIANOINTERNATIONALFILMFESTIVAL
2. Finalità generali
Il R.I.F.F. si propone di perseguire le seguenti finalità:
Promuovere la cultura cinematografica attraverso la visione di opere italiane e straniere;
Valorizzare le risorse e i prodotti tipici locali, facendone apprezzare la genuinità e la bontà;
Esaltare le bellezze storiche ed artistiche del borgo, offrendo agli ospiti l’occasione di visitare luoghi e siti ancora sconosciuti
Creare momenti di aggregazione culturale e sociale tra appassionati e cultori di arte cinematografica nonché professionisti e visitatori
Sviluppare la riflessione e il senso critico sulle tematiche poste dalle opere presentate.
3. Obiettivi specifici
Il R.I.F.F. si prefigge i seguenti obiettivi specifici:
Dare visibilità ai talenti emergenti, registi e artisti cinematografici che hanno modo di presentare le loro opere in piattaforma o in loco ad un pubblico più vasto e di entrare in contatto con un maggior numero di agenti e professionisti del settore;
Favorire occasioni di networking e collaborazioni tra operatori del settore cinematografico in un contesto dedicato per instaurare o intensificare relazioni professionali;
Promuovere l’interazione tra pubblico ed esperti, nella fase finale dell’evento attraverso incontri, open discussion, jam session e workshop con i convenuti per approfondire la conoscenza delle opere presentate o del backstage.
4. Articolazione del concorso
Il RIFF 25/26 si presenta come una rassegna/concorso di opere filmiche, articolata in undici sezioni dedicate:
1) CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE DI CORTOMETRAGGI a soggetto libero;
2) CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE DI MEDIOMETRAGGI a soggetto libero;
3) CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE DI DOCUMENTARI sulle tipicità agro-alimentari (food&wine);
4) CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE DI CORTOMETRAGGI sul tema dell’inclusione sociale;
5) CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE DI MEDIOMETRAGGI sul tema dell’inclusione sociale;
6) CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE DI CORTOMETRAGGI a soggetto libero sezione riservata a studenti;
7) CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE DI CORTOMETRAGGI DI ANIMAZIONE a soggetto libero;
8) CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE RISERVATO AI SOGGETTI DI CORTOMETRAGGI NON PRODOTTI;
9) CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE RISERVATO AGLI SCRIPT DI CORTOMETRAGGI GIA' PRODOTTI;
10) CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE RISERVATO AGLI SCRIPT DI CORTOMETRAGGI NON PRODOTTI;
11) CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE DI CORTOMETRAGGI REALIZZATI CON INTELLIGENZA ARTIFICIALE.
La durata massima delle opere ammesse è:
20′ per i corti;
da 21′ a 60′ per i mediometraggi e i documentari;
10 pagine per i soggetti;
18 pagine per le sceneggiature di cortometraggi.
5. Requisiti di ammissibilità
Essere realizzate direttamente in italiano con sottotitoli in inglese.
Se realizzate in dialetti regionali con sottotitoli in italiano.
Essere realizzate in qualsiasi lingua diversa dall’italiano, ma con sottotitoli obbligatori in italiano.
Essere prodotte a partire dal 1° gennaio 2024, indicando, se già candidate in altri festival, il nome di ciascun festival e i relativi riconoscimenti e/o menzioni premiali ricevuti.
Iscriversi esclusivamente attraverso la piattaforma FilmFreeway dal mese di Novembre 2025 al mese di Maggio 2026. Qualsiasi altra forma di iscrizione comporta l’esclusione dal concorso.
Il mittente, con l’invio dell’opera, dichiara di essere titolare di tutti i diritti di utilizzazione dell’opera stessa, nessuno escluso, che i contenuti dell’opera non violano le leggi vigenti e che l’opera non comprende argomenti di natura diffamatoria. In ogni caso, il mittente solleva l’organizzazione da ogni responsabilità per il contenuto del cortometraggio proiettato in pubblico.
I partecipanti concedono al RIFF 25/26 e alle sue affiliate una licenza non esclusiva, mondiale e royalty-free per utilizzare estratti, trailer obbligatorio per i selezionati del festival, fotogrammi, poster e/o brevi clip tratti dai loro lavori inviati a fini promozionali, pubblicitari, di archiviazione e marketing del Festival. Ciò include, a titolo esemplificativo ma non esaustivo, l'utilizzo su siti web, social media, materiali stampa, televisione e altri canali di distribuzione.
6. Selezione e partecipazione
L’avvenuta iscrizione non garantisce l’automatica selezione dell’opera, questa è di competenza esclusiva della giuria screener.
Le opere selezionate entrano nel programma del RIFF 25/26, senza ulteriori accettazioni, e non potranno essere ritirate. L’eventuale ritiro dal programma comporta il versamento di una penale di €100,00.
In caso di selezione quale finalista, contatteremo privatamente gli autori per richiedere tutto il materiale necessario ai fini promozionali e di proiezione. La copia destinata alla proiezione insieme al trailer del prodotto dovranno essere forniti al festival almeno 14 giorni prima dell'inizio dell'evento.
Per i prodotti che saranno selezionati, per poter accedere alla fase-finale, sarà richiesto il versamento della quota di € 10 (spese di segreteria).

Diritti di archiviazione:
Le opere selezionate potranno essere conservate negli archivi del Festival per scopi educativi, culturali e promozionali. Il Festival non renderà disponibili le opere complete per la distribuzione al pubblico al di fuori delle proprie attività senza l'espresso consenso scritto del titolare dei diritti.
I protagonisti delle opere candidate ad uno dei premi garantiscono la disponibilità ad intervenire, anche in streaming o con intervento pre-registrato, per fornire il loro contributo a dibattiti, open discussion, incontri con pubblico, giurati e addetti stampa.

Tutte le info afferenti il RIFF 25/26 sono pubblicate sul medesimo sito.
7. Premi e giurie
Ai vincitori sarà conferito, durante la cerimonia di premiazione che si terrà a Ruviano, in provincia di Caserta, il 13 giugno 2026, un premio creato appositamente per il festival.
Tutti i premi del Festival vengono attribuiti ai registi delle opere vincitrici, tranne i premi agli attori/attrici.
Per i vincitori o loro delegati che non potranno essere presenti alla cerimonia di premiazione si consiglia l’invio di un video con una propria testimonianza.
Il festival non si farà carico della spedizione dei premi ai vincitori assenti alla cerimonia di premiazione.

All’opera filmica considerata, ad insindacabile giudizio della giuria di qualità, la migliore in assoluto, è riconosciuto il premio speciale “La Bella Mugnaia” – borgo di Ruviano.
La Giuria di qualità, in corso di definizione, valuterà le opere selezionate per il concorso e sarà composta da critici cinematografici, esperti di cinema, registi, attori, sceneggiatori, rappresentanti del mondo dello spettacolo, dell’arte, della cultura e del mondo accademico. I film e/o i trailer dei film selezionati, saranno proiettati nelle giornate dal 11 al 13 giugno 2026.
La giuria se lo ritiene opportuno può decidere di cambiare la categoria di iscrizione di qualsiasi film.
Alla prima edizione del festival che ha visto opere provenienti da Brasile, Giappone, Paesi Bassi, Francia, Stati Uniti, Germania, Grecia, Spagna, Gran Bretagna, Romania, Nuova Zelanda, naturalmente Italia coinvolgendo ben cinque continenti, sono intervenuti, tra gli altri:

2. General Objectives
The R.I.F.F. aims to pursue the following objectives:
Promote film culture through the screening of Italian and foreign films;
Enhance local resources and products, promoting their authenticity and quality;
Enhance the historical and artistic beauty of the village, offering guests the opportunity to visit undiscovered places and sites.
Create opportunities for cultural and social gatherings among film enthusiasts and scholars, as well as professionals and visitors.
Develop reflection and critical thinking on the themes raised by the films presented.
3. Specific Objectives
The R.I.F.F. has the following specific objectives:
Give visibility to emerging talents, directors, and film artists, who have the opportunity to present their works online or on-site to a wider audience and connect with a greater number of agents and industry professionals;
Encourage networking and collaboration opportunities among film industry professionals in a dedicated context to establish or deepen professional relationships;
Promote interaction between the public and experts during the final phase of the event through meetings, open discussions, jam sessions, and workshops with attendees to deepen their understanding of the works presented or behind-the-scenes experiences.
4. Competition Structure
RIFF 25/26 is a film festival/competition, divided into eleven dedicated sections:
1) INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR SHORT FILM with free subject matter;
2) INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR MEDIUM-DISTRICT FILM with free subject matter;
3) INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR DOCUMENTARIES on typical agri-food products (food & wine);
4) INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR SHORT FILM on the theme of social inclusion;
5) INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR MEDIUM-DISTRICT FILM on the theme of social inclusion;
6) INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR SHORT FILM with free subject matter, section reserved for students;
7) INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR ANIMATED SHORT FILM with free subject matter;
8) INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION RESERVED FOR SUBMITTING UNPRODUCED SHORT FILM STORY;
9) INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION RESERVED FOR SUBMITTING ALREADY PRODUCED SHORT FILM SCRIPTS;
10) INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION RESERVED FOR SUBMITTING UNPRODUCED SHORT FILM SCRIPTS;
11) INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR SHORT FILM CREATED WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.
The maximum length of eligible works is:
20 minutes for short films;
from 21 minutes to 60 minutes for medium-length films and documentaries;
10 pages for subject;
18 pages for script.
5. Eligibility Requirements
Be produced directly in Italian with English subtitles.
If produced in regional dialects with Italian subtitles.
Be produced in any language other than Italian, but with mandatory Italian subtitles.
Be produced after January 1, 2024. If already submitted to other festivals, please indicate the name of each festival and any awards and/or mentions received.
Submit exclusively through the FilmFreeway platform from November 2025 to May 2026. Any other form of submission will result in exclusion from the competition.
By submitting their work, the submitter declares that they own all rights to use the work, without exception, that its contents do not violate any applicable laws, and that the work does not contain any defamatory material. In any case, the submitter releases the organization from any liability for the content of the short film publicly screened.
Entrants grant RIFF 25/26 and its affiliates a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use excerpts, the mandatory trailer for festival-selected entries, stills, posters, and/or short clips from their submitted works for the purposes of promotion, advertising, archiving, and marketing of the Festival. This includes, but is not limited to, use on websites, social media, print materials, television, and other distribution channels.
6. Selection and Participation
Registration does not guarantee automatic selection; this is the sole responsibility of the screening jury.
Selected works will be included in the RIFF 25/26 program without further acceptance and cannot be withdrawn. Any withdrawal from the program will incur a €100.00 penalty.
If selected as a finalist, we will contact the authors privately to request all necessary promotional and screening materials. The screening copy and the product trailer must be provided to the festival at least 14 days before the event begins.
To access the final phase, we ask those selected to pay the second installment of €10 (administrative fees).

Archiving Rights:
Selected works may be retained in the Festival archives for educational, cultural, and promotional purposes. The Festival will not make the completed works available for distribution to the public outside of its own activities without the express written consent of the rights holder.
The protagonists of the works nominated for one of the awards guarantee their availability to participate, including via livestream or pre-recorded presentations, in debates, open discussions, and meetings with the public, jurors, and press officers.

7. Awards and Juries
Winners will receive an award created specifically for the festival during the awards ceremony to be held in Ruviano, in the province of Caserta, on June 13, 2026.
All Festival awards are given to the directors of the winning works, except for the awards to actors/actresses.
Winners or their delegates who cannot attend the awards ceremony are encouraged to submit a video with their testimonial.
The festival will not ship the awards to winners who are absent from the awards ceremony.

The film deemed, in the sole discretion of the expert jury, to be the best overall will be awarded the special "La Bella Mugnaia" (The Beautiful Miller's Daughter) prize – Ruviano.
The Quality Jury, currently being defined, will evaluate the works selected for the competition and will be composed of film critics, film experts, directors, actors, screenwriters, and representatives from the worlds of entertainment, art, culture, and academia. The selected films or the trailer of the film will be screened from June 11 to 13, 2026.
The jury may decide to change the submission category of any film, if it deems appropriate.
The first edition of the festival, which featured works from Brazil, Japan, the Netherlands, France, the United States, Germany, Greece, Spain, Great Britain, Romania, New Zealand, and, of course, Italy, encompassing five continents, featured, among others:
